Trump's Family Member Receives Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

This young athlete has considerable social media presence

Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent cheerleaders as she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and frequently competes against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she stated.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."

"He basically suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments recently and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

But she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.

"He is the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's a superior individual. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, and go with the flow."

The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

The LPGA stated that her participation exposes golf to new audiences, especially among youth audiences.

Kai boasts substantial online presence and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle label.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
