Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt able to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can now express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the movie, adding that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a different essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to bar the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order put a security hold on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the tragedy, public figures expressed varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing provocative statements that were widely condemned by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the critics recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "disturbing" and implied they showed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate ought to have stepped in when the decision to weigh in on the death was made.
