'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is presently two years through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the maiden significant trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
